The 75% rule
Regulation 2021, clause 7.1: to write the end semester exams you need at least 75% overall attendance, after rounding to the nearest whole number. So 74.5% counts as 75%, but 74.4% does not.
Between 65% and 74%
If your attendance is 65–74% because of illness, hospitalisation, an accident or sports events, you may still be allowed to write the exams with a medical or sports certificate attested by your Head of Institution (clause 7.2).
Below 65%
You cannot write that semester's exams and must repeat the semester (clause 7.3). The grade sheet shows SA, shortage of attendance.
How attendance is counted
The university counts periods attended in all courses of the semester together, against the periods the curriculum prescribes for the semester. Your college may also track each course separately, so check with your class advisor.
